“Terry” … Auf wiedersehn … went to Frankfurt Germany in middle of Senior year … “sugar ‘n spice and everything nice” … typical student—dislikes study halls and homework.
[Note: Terry did not graduate from Staples.]
From Terry’s 50th reunion greeting to classmates…
After two and one-half years at Staples, I graduated from the Frankfurt American High School in Frankfurt, Germany. Returning to the US, I went on to study Interior Architecture and Design at Parson’s School of Design in NYC, graduating in 1958.
I then went to work for several interior designers in NY before entering the field of commercial photographic modeling.
I married my long-time boyfriend whose interest in photography led us to open a photography studio on Madison Ave. in NYC where we mostly photographed recording artists of the 60s&mash;mainly from the Dick Clark stable: the Everly Brothers, Dion, Connie Francis, Bobby Rydell, etc.
From there we moved to Hollywood and continued our work with Warner Bros. Records and the major movie studios.
After a divorce and two children I returned to Wilton and in 1974 married Steve Valliant, a Wharton graduate whose career in business management/consulting has led us down the corporate trail to West Virginia, Ohio, Georgia, back to West Virginia, Pennsylvania, back to Ohio, California, Maryland and again back to Ohio.
I have three daughters and three grandchildren (so far), the youngest being seven months old.
I have recently discovered the challenge of playing duplicate contract bridge and am having fun accumulating those master’s points.
Steve and I have just moved into our new home in Tipp City, OH, where we plan to stay put for a while until a probable downsize eventually to Florida.
Mhy best-kept secret: I am most likely the youngest member of the Staples class graduating at age 16.
I’ll be looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!
