“Ty”… Easygoing and amiable … scientific mind … “real cool!” … all for Staples … dependable … science in college … strictly college material.
From Ty’s 50th reunion greeting to classmates…
In February of 1999 Averil and I moved from Westport up to Litchfield County. We have built a house in Washington Depot and are loving it here. Only one (1) traffic light in town. We have 20 acres and two Jack Russell terriers to keep us amused.
I was here weekends only for the first three years but now am retired (from Alliance Capital in NYC) and here full time. I keep busy as a trustee fo the local library and other local volunteer work. That leaves time for gardening, flying model airplanes, working on a toy train layout and a very rich social life.
Our daughter, Hilary, and her husband, Mathew Solomon, are living in the Catskills where Matt has begun a new life as a potter (bye bye to NYC law practice). They have provided us with a perfect granddaughter, Sidney, age eight months.
Our son, Tony, married Jessica last September and they are living and working in Maine. (“More grandchildren, please…!)
Life is good.
