“Larry”… Polite, helpful … builds coffins and buries people in spare time … likes spaghetti and argyles, especially homemade … makes with machinery, metals, motors, but wants to be a stonemason.
From Homer’s 50th reunion greeting to classmates…
After having worked for over 50 years, I have retired to the town of Old Saybrook, CT. During that time I have worked as a grave digger, garbage man, bus driver, police officer in Westport for 20 years and retired 28 years ago. I worked as a stone mason (family business) off and on for 50 years in the Fairfield Country area. I presently work one day a week driving a truck for the Shoreline Soup Kitchen and volunteer one day a week with my wife, Kathleen, preparing and packing meals for the needy.
We travel often to Florida to visit our children and grandchildren, but also do other traveling while we are still in good health.
Well, that’s it for now, as I will ses everyone at the class reunion.
