“Georgie” … always on the right side of the law … likes blueberry pie, without onions … capable leader of sports … nursing next.
From Georgiann’s 50th reunion greeting to classmates…
I moved to Miami Springs in 1971. I worked at Hialeah Hospital doing Physical Therapy.
Then I went to work for National Airlines in 1978. In Jan 1981 Pan Am bought us out and I became one of the managers of Reservations in the Miami office.
In 1991, six weeks before Pan AM went under Delta offered me a contract and I jumped on it. I worked in the Reservations department and then went on to be a facilitator. I traveled thru the US to their different offices training new Reservations agents. Spent a lot of time in the air.
In 2001 they offered a package deal and I retired. I went back to Miami Dade College and took some classes that I was missing. I got my Pre-School Director Certificate and am teaching pre-kindergarten in a pre-school. I am still attending MDC to further my certification requirements. I love it and am only one mile from home. I don’t know if I can ever fully retire as I like to keep busy. My hours are great as I am finished teaching by noon.
Larry Mills and I had three boys now all grown up with families of their own. We have two granddaughters and four grandsons. The third granddaughter was killed in an auto accident coming home from FSU [Florida State U.?] two years ago. Even though we divorced many years ago, we [Larry and I] keep in touch. He and his wife Kathleen have been to visit several times.
I got your mailout, which is how I knew about the website. Much to my surprise, one night while answering the Reservations phone at Delta, I received a call from Leonard Eskey. How great it was to speak to him! Once in a while I get someone from Westport calling and I always let them know it was me. Guess that is one of the advantages of talking to anyone all over the world.
So good to hear from you… Keep in touch.
