Muriel Burke Sutton, age 68, longtime Fairfield resident, died Friday, March 10, 2006. She was a graduate of Marymount College and received a masters degree from Fairfield University. Muriel was a teacher for several years in Westport and Our Lady of the Assumption School in Fairfield. Predeceased by her husband, Charles “Ted” Sutton, she is survived by a son, Kevin Sutton and wife, Ellen, of Fairfield; a sister, Carol Hull and her husband, Donald, of Milford; a niece, Kathy Elson of Milford; and a nephew, Jim Hull of Virginia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, Fairfield, with interment to follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Darien. Friends may call Monday, March 13, 2006 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 S Benson Road, Fairfield.
